US duty on Indian natural stone has moved several times since early 2025 — it rose from a pre-2025 baseline of roughly 0–3.7% to as high as 50% under reciprocal and additional tariff measures, before the US removed the additional duty and recalibrated the reciprocal rate down to 18%, effective 2 February 2026. Because this rate has changed more than once in under a year, US buyers should confirm the current landed-cost duty on the specific HS code with their customs broker before finalising an order — we’re happy to share the documentation needed to check this.
Note that this is separate from the newer US safeguard tariff (25–55%) placed on engineered quartz surface products in August 2026 — that applies to manufactured quartz slabs, not natural sandstone, so it doesn’t affect this product line.
